Abundance Lab LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the FinZen AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

By using FinZen AI, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, last name, email address, phone number, date of birth, country, state, city, occupation, and password when you create an account
  • Financial Profile: Currency preference, income range, and financial goals you set within the App
  • Transaction Data: Financial transactions you manually enter or import, including amounts, categories, and descriptions
  • Budgets and Goals: Budget limits, savings goals, target amounts, and deadlines you configure
  • Payment Reminders: Due dates, amounts, credit limits, and payment types for bills and credit cards you configure for reminder notifications
  • Voice Input: If you use voice features to record transactions, your audio is transmitted to OpenAI's Whisper service for transcription. Audio recordings are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored after transcription
  • AI Conversations: Your text interactions with Zenio, our AI assistant, including the financial context necessary to provide relevant responses
  • Referral Program: If you participate in our referral program, we store your unique referral code and track referral conversions. When someone uses your code, we may share your first name with them to confirm the referral relationship

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, device name, and unique device identifiers
  • Device Identifiers for Trial Eligibility: We use device identifiers to prevent abuse of our free trial program. This information is used solely to ensure each device receives only one 7-day trial period
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the App, features used, and session duration
  • Gamification Data: Your activity patterns, login streaks, badges earned, challenge participation, and financial scores (FinScore) calculated based on your app usage and financial habits
  • Push Notification Tokens: To send you notifications about your financial activity

Information from Third-Party Services

  • Email Sync (Gmail and Microsoft Outlook): If you enable email synchronization, we access banking notification emails from your Gmail or Outlook account to automatically import transactions. We only read emails that match patterns of financial notifications. We do not access, read, store, or process any other emails
  • Biometric Data: If you enable Face ID or fingerprint authentication, this data is processed locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App's functionality
  • Process and categorize your financial transactions
  • Power Zenio, our AI financial assistant, to provide personalized insights
  • Transcribe voice inputs into text for transaction entry
  • Send notifications about budget alerts, goal progress, payment reminders, and financial tips
  • Generate weekly financial reports and spending analysis (Pro subscribers)
  • Calculate your FinScore and track financial habits through gamification features
  • Award badges and track streaks based on your financial behavior
  • Detect recurring small expenses ("ant expenses") to help you identify savings opportunities
  • Process payments for premium subscriptions via Stripe
  • Verify trial eligibility and prevent abuse of promotional offers
  • Manage the referral program and track referral rewards
  • Improve our services and develop new features
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. AI-Powered Features

FinZen AI uses artificial intelligence technology provided by OpenAI, LLC to power several features:

Zenio AI Assistant

  • Your text messages and relevant financial context (such as recent transactions, budgets, and goals) are sent to OpenAI's servers to generate personalized responses
  • We use OpenAI's GPT models to process your queries

Voice Input (Whisper)

  • If you use voice features, your audio recordings are transmitted to OpenAI's Whisper service for speech-to-text transcription
  • Audio is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored after transcription is complete

Weekly Reports (Pro Feature)

  • For Pro subscribers, we use AI to analyze your weekly financial activity and generate personalized reports with insights and recommendations
  • These reports are generated automatically and stored in your account

Ant Expense Detection

  • We use AI-assisted analysis to identify recurring small expenses that may be impacting your savings
  • This analysis is performed on your transaction history to help you make informed financial decisions

Important Disclosures

  • We do not use your personal data to train AI models
  • OpenAI processes data according to their Privacy Policy and may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve their services
  • Conversations with Zenio may be retained temporarily (up to 30 days) to maintain context and improve your experience
  • You can request deletion of your conversation history at any time

5. Google API Services Disclosure

FinZen AI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, regarding data obtained through Gmail API:

  • We only use Gmail data to provide the transaction import feature you have requested
  • We do not use Gmail data for advertising purposes
  • We do not transfer Gmail data to third parties unless necessary to provide the service, required by law, or with your explicit consent
  • We do not allow humans to read your Gmail data except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or when aggregated and anonymized

You can revoke FinZen AI's access to your Gmail at any time through your Google Account permissions (myaccount.google.com/permissions) or within the App settings.

6. Data Storage and Security

  • Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States
  • We use encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Financial data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption
  • We do not store complete bank account numbers or banking credentials
  • Email sync tokens (for Gmail and Outlook) are stored encrypted and can be revoked by you at any time
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text

8. Your Rights

  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export: Export your financial data in standard formats (CSV, PDF)
  • Opt-out: Disable notifications or disconnect email sync at any time
  • Revoke Consent: Disconnect Gmail or Outlook integration through your account settings

  • Right to Know: Request disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

9. Children's Privacy

FinZen AI is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us immediately at info@juniorurena.com.do.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information is transferred to and processed on servers located in the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States (including from the Dominican Republic or other Latin American countries), please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

11. Subscription Plans and Trials

FinZen AI offers free and paid subscription plans (Plus and Pro). Regarding subscription-related data:

  • Free Trial: New users may be eligible for a 7-day free trial of premium features. We track device identifiers to ensure fair use and prevent trial abuse (one trial per device)
  • Payment Information: Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We do not store your complete credit card number on our servers
  • Subscription Status: We maintain records of your subscription status, billing period, and payment history

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, for significant changes, through in-app notifications or email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
